Job Summary


The Sales Engineering Manager leads and mentors a team of Sales Engineers to support the sales organization by providing technical expertise, solution design, and customer-facing presentations. This role bridges the gap between sales, product, and engineering to ensure customer needs are translated into effective solutions.


Key Responsibilities


Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers

Partner with Sales to support pre-sales activities, demos, and proof-of-concepts

Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence product direction

Ensure high-quality technical presentations and solution proposals

Support key customer meetings and complex deal cycles

Establish best practices, processes, and technical standards

Track team performance and contribute to revenue growth


Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field


5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar role


2+ years of people management or team leadership experience


Strong technical background with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly


Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills


Experience working with cross-functional teams


Preferred Skills


Experience in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise technology


Customer-facing or consultative sales experience


Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Strategic thinking with a hands-on mindset
